QA Architect - Dublin, Ireland

We are looking for a QA Architect who is passionate about building and maintaining high-quality software and ensuring the success of new & existing Guidewire Cloud customers.

The Role

Assure the planning, design, and execution of our test plans, scripts, and processes. Help us meet rising customer expectations to take on complete leadership and accountability of their strategic transformation programs. Work closely with all parties involved in implementation or cloud migration programs to effectively identify, coordinate, and manage tasks pertaining to Assurance Services in the Guidewire Cloud.

You will have the opportunity to work directly with some of the largest insurance companies all over the world. We work in lean, empowered, and collaborative teams that communicate daily with our customers.

The ideal candidate will be engaged throughout Guidewire Cloud Programs to contribute to and ensure we have the right Assurance process and tools, consistency and quality in execution, and insight into overall Assurance health.

To succeed you will:

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Participate in Cloud Assurance Services team ensuring consistent delivery of quality to enable seamless fast-cadence updates of Guidewire products
  • Enforce standardized testing solutions
  • Train customers/partners to take advantage of standardized solutions
  • Ensure the consistency of Cloud Assurance delivery thereby enabling Cloud Delivery teams
  • Drive efficiency and improvement
  • Support and mentor colleagues
  • Travel to customer locations and other Guidewire offices (once safe to do so)

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree or meaningful work experience
  • Experience with multiple testing frameworks and tools; Automated, API, Data-Driven, Behaviour-Driven, etc.
  • Experience working on enterprise technology implementations using Agile
  • Ability to adapt to various work settings and serve in an advisory/leadership role
  • Experience, from software implementation projects, with functional specifications, QA, User Acceptance Testing, and training
  • Experience in software package implementation through customization or configuration
  • Understanding of software concepts (e.g., HTML, XML, Relational DB, reporting tools)
  • Understanding of Project Management methodologies
  • Ability to work with multiple parties to determine the best solution for a complex problem
  • Comfortable being in a dynamic role that is not always fully defined and that will mature with our solution offerings

Nice to have:

  • 6+ years in Quality Assurance, leading and managing enterprise software implementation teams (or team tracks) within a corporate IT or consulting environment
  • 2+ years of “hands-on” work with Guidewire core applications (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, or Data Management)
