Senior People Business Partner APAC

What You Will Do
- As a Senior Business Partner, you will support the Director, People Business Partner in core people activities for the APAC region. You will build strong relationships across the function, engaging with leaders and the management community to support their business strategy and enable their teams to be successful. This role is hands-on, you will be an organizational partner to the business, demonstrating business acumen and a willingness to share your expertise in people-related activities to deliver results.
- You will be the first point of contact to our leaders, managers, and employee communities in APAC. You will partner with our COEs (Recruiting, DEI, Employee Experience, Learning & Development, Talent Rewards & Compensation, etc.) and collaborate on solutions for the functions and countries in APAC. You will also ensure their programs and practices are supported, understood, and adopted by the leaders across the region. In addition, as part of the People Business Partner team you will work closely with colleagues in APAC, EMEA and AMER to support the global function and ensure consistency in our approach on key people activities.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as trusted advisor and partner with leaders and the management community to establish plans and deliver solutions to achieve business initiatives and deliver results.
- Listen to and learn to understand the business needs; seek to build relationships, creating a balance of high touch with enterprise Business Partner Support
- Along with our other People Partners, lead talent management and succession planning strategies and processes to develop world-class talent.
- Provide support including coaching, mentoring, and professional development for Guidewire employees.
- Embrace and integrate inclusion and diversity into our people activities, nurturing an environment that is open-minded and that embodies our values.
- Proactively assess business and team performance to recommend and drive action through a consultative approach.
- Actively own and support on Employee Relations issues in your region, guiding the management community through the process.
- Analyze data, understand trends, and develop proactive solutions to further support business objectives.
- Assist with the co-creation, communication and rollout of new people programs and policies that enhance the employee experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align our culture and performance with our rewards and retention strategies.
- Approach the role of a People Business Partner through the lens of empathy and high-integrity, equity, and inclusion.
- Operate with discretion while ensuring fairness for all employees.
Experience / Key Skills
- 5+ years in a Business Partner role
- Confident operating in a fast-paced, technology or software environment
- Experience in supporting and managing employee relations issues across APAC as well as awareness of key legislation and best practice. International experience is a must.
- High degree of initiative, independent judgment, and discretion
- Creative and strategic problem-solving skills, striving always for operational excellence.
- Ability to execute against multiple high priority projects through exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong verbal, communication, and consultative skills
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information in a manner that inspires confidence and trust.
- Need be able to work at all levels of the HR “stack” - strategic, operational, and tactical.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to shift focus as business needs change.
- Ability to build relationships with senior leaders based on trust and partnership.
- Collaborative team player, who can work closely with the People Business Partner team and our COEs to deliver value to the business.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
