Data Analyst - Chennai

Guidewire is looking for a motivated customer support analyst to help support our data science team and growing business of insurance customers. You are a self-starter interested in growing your career and learning valuable technical skills in fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support ongoing customer request to use our application, do Business Research, triage internal data and put together customer portfolios
Work with engineering teams to ensure timely completion of customer deliverables and manage expectations with customers
Do deep dive analysis of data and ensure data quality
Continuously working on automating the process
Help triage a variety of customer related issues and coordinate with the right R&D teams to respond or resolve
Work in a quick environment in which organization and accuracy are key

Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
3+ years of professional experience
Strong analytical skill with experience in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Ability to research and analyse web content
Experience with programming languages like Python/R
Willingness and curiosity to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with version control tools like Bitbucket and continuous integration tools like Jenkins to manage code repositories and automate build processes
Ability to validate data at scale with both efficiency and attention to detail
Ability to understand and visualise data relationships
Proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides
Knowledge of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment working with cross functional and cross geographical teams.
