Are you an experienced Technical Program Manager who is excited about Cloud Infrastructure and partnering with Engineering teams leveraging cutting edge cloud natives technologies to deliver modern, highly reliable and scalable infrastructure? Does the world of Kubernetes, AWS, PaaS, excite you? Are you passionate about topics like Security, Cost Optimizations in Cloud? If so, we would like to meet you!

Guidewire provides outstanding software for the second-largest financial services industry in the world: insurance. We deliver the core applications that Property and Casualty (P/C) insurers use to build their products, sell policies, settle claims, and bill their customers. We deliver SaaS solutions via Guidewire Cloud that enable our customers to rapidly innovate and drive measurable value. Guidewire Cloud is powered by the highly resilient Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure, with SLAs backed by experienced Guidewire teams and SaaS-certified partners spanning application management, system administration, security and compliance, upgrades, QA testing, health checks, and other services.

What you get to do:
Own, Plan and Deliver key cross functional initiatives, technical projects and complex features (initially focusing Security and Cost Optimizations) that will have the highest visibility with senior Engineering and Product leadership (Directors, Sr. Directors and VP).
Recommend, Define and Measure metrics that should matter for Platform teams. Lead teams in being more data driven when making decisions. Own those metrics, inspect for variances, propose corrective actions and drive changes to improve outcomes.

What you bring to Guidewire:

  • 3+ years of experience in project/program management experience leading complex technical projects with strong preference to delivering cloud based solutions or managing Infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience with using work planning and tracking tools like Jira, Aha, Trello, Asana etc to improve how teams manage & organize their work and report on progress.
  • Strong bias to being Metrics-driven: Experience determining effective program critical metrics and using them to measure program success and issues.
  • Be the glue that tightly aligns the otherwise loosely coupled, fast moving and high velocity teams.
  • Courage to pick up ambiguous problems, conduct independent research and facilitate decision making with Senior Leaders.

Nice to Have

  • Advocate and active follower of cloud technologies and market trends.
  • Experience with Product or Engineering Operations.
  • Prior experience with managing Data Centers, Security, FinOps teams.
  • Technical Certifications on AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Security or other cloud native technologies.
  • BS/MS degree (Computer Science or Math) or equivalent level of proven professional proficiency
