Senior Product Marketing Manager – Platform – US Remote Option

Guidewire’s Product Marketing team creates the differentiated storytelling that drives the company’s strategic direction. Guidewire is seeking a star product marketer, with strong technical acumen and experience with AWS cloud services, data, APIs, cloud operations, and technical integrations, to help promote our cloud platform for the U.S. P&C insurance industry. 

You are bold, creative, and fast moving.  You persuade your audience into action with an exceptional command of language, perfect tone, and masterful articulation of concepts in both letter and form.  You are equally comfortable collaborating on vision as running a highly organized and transparent process.  Product management and sales love you and rely on your ability to craft the right narrative for every situation.  You are comfortable working within a highly matrixed organization and passionate about inspiring enthusiasm across marketing, product, and sales teams to vanquish market-inhibiting challenges. Critical thinking, collegiality, and the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences will make you a great fit in this role and at Guidewire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and execute the overall go-to-market plan for Guidewire’s cloud platform, including internal enablement and external promotion.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop compelling, consistent messaging and collateral that ties together product information, broader industry trends, competitive positioning, and regional considerations. The Product Marketing Manager works to enable and support the company’s worldwide sales team, analyst relations, consulting and technology partners, demand generation campaigns, and public relations initiatives.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in product marketing for Guidewire’s cloud platform.
  • Conduct market research to determine emerging trends, market needs, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Management on product vision and roadmap.
  • Present on Guidewire platform topics to customers and at conferences and other industry events.
  • Support Guidewire’s annual user conference, including providing guidance on the agenda, presenting content, and coaching other speakers.
  • Support corporate and customer marketing efforts and campaigns, including webinars, direct campaigns, event and conference speaking, customer / prospect activities, testimonials, web / blog content.
  • Juggle multiple projects while ensuring that best practices, quality, and brand are preserved and strengthened.

The Candidate

  • 10 plus years of relevant experience, ideally in a technical &/or cloud/SaaS product marketing role in a B2B software company
  • Excellent skills and talent for communications in all forms and media - spoken, written, visual, presentations, websites, social media, video; formal and informal.
  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions in clear and convincing ways, whether to non-technical audiences or extremely technical ones.
  • Deep understanding of IT organizations with a passion for cloud computing including Platform as a Service and Software as a Service.
  • Internal collaboration and a proven ability to build relationships with individuals and teams that are peers, executives, internal customers, and Guidewire customers around the globe. Balancing strong personalities is key.
  • Strong program management skills including goal setting, milestone planning, progress reports, and collaboration.
  • Sense of humor, fun, and empathy for colleagues and customers are prized qualities in this team.
  • Experience in P&C insurance a bonus, but not required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time.

Salary Information

Salary Range: $121000 - $181000 per year

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.  We also pride ourselves on being a pay for performance company.
