The Role:

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Solution Alliances you will be the technical leader for Guidewire’s Solution Alliance program. In this key coach/player role you will coach alliances team colleagues focused on supporting partner solution design and development on Guidewire’s platform, as well as directly manage select alliance relationships with cloud infrastructure providers supporting Guidewire’s cloud platform.

You will play a leadership role as a part of our Solution Alliances team, with focus on management of the team’s technically focused resources. Working in a small team environment, you may find yourself pitching in to work directly with partners and prospects, providing backup to Solution Evangelists and Program Managers on your team.

In addition, you will work with Guidewire’s current AWS Solution Alliance Manager to support the technical aspects of this strategic relationship while they focus on go-to-market and sales facets.

You will collaborate closely with an impressive team of peers in Guidewire Business functions, Product Development, Cloud Operations and Services whose primary goal is our partners’ and our joint customers’ success.

We particularly value demonstrated leadership capability and presence, program management skills, excellent organization skills, negotiation skills, and of course the ability to work well as part of an overall organization

Desired Skills and Experience:

Preference given to candidates that have 6+ years of experience leading and managing enterprise software implementation teams for technical alliances organizations within a corporate or consulting environment. Guidewire project experience and Property and Casualty domain knowledge is strongly preferred but not mandatory

Ideal candidate should have a good understanding of and experience with AWS foundational, database and management services, uses, and architecture best practices

Need to understand and be conversant with important cloud technologies including Cloud operating systems, networking, and virtualization practices

Comfort being in a dynamic role that is not always fully defined and that will mature with our Solution Alliances relationships and offerings

Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to roll up their sleeves to work closely with their partners and team.

Demonstrated problem solving skills in a time sensitive environment

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/enhance the technical practices and programs that help Guidewire Solution Alliances effectively and proactively manage our PartnerConnect Ready for Guidewire Integration programs with Independent Software Providers and other P&C Insurance Industry business services providers.
  • Evangelize Guidewire’s developer platform and integration capabilities to prospective and current partner audiences.
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage objectives and activities pertaining to the management and success of our AWS alliance relationship from a technical perspective with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Advocate for the importance of our AWS partnership program and ensure Guidewire resources are maximizing the benefits of this offering.
  • Contribute to a team environment that will have both local and remote leadership
  • The role has potential for occasional travel to HQ and other Guidewire offices (US and International)
