The Director – Business Relationship Manager leads Product Managers(s) and plays an internal Customer Success Lead role for Guidewire’s expanding portfolio of business, customer and partner facing applications.  This role provides the critical partnership between various business functions within Guidewire and our dedicated delivery team. This leadership role is responsible for consulting with and guiding stakeholders to maximize the business value of connected applications, provide a strategic point of view to support the business vision and develop and maintain a long-term roadmap. This role will be working with the Salesforce platform and should be comfortable with the platform and technology. However, it is also expected that this role will need to align strategic needs to other technologies and will be able to support and manage capability requests that are technology agnostic. 

Required Skills: 

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 

Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups 

Strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform and AppExchange ecosystem 

Experience facilitating meetings and presenting to business and technical audiences at all levels 

Experience delivering in and using agile methodologies 

 Experience in developing and delivering and managing strategic roadmaps 

 

Desired Skills: 

Experience with ITSM and tools such as ServiceNow, AHA and JIRA 

Previous experience leading teams is preferred  

Experience with two or more of the following Salesforce cloud applications and third party managed packages: Community Cloud, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, FinancialForce PSA, B2B Commerce 

Experience supporting employee productivity and collaboration capabilities 

Experience with human-centered design methods 

  

Experience and Education: 

Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience 

Bachelor’s degree required. prefer a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Owns relationships with business owners and continually works across business functions to develop and manage product focused roadmaps 
  • Lead product managers(s) to ensure that incremental enhancements and run the business change requests are aligned to meet the strategic roadmap and capabilities 
  • Develops execution plans in support of maturing agile practices across the apps team 
  • Owns and monitors key KPIs and success measures to continually measure the health and adoption of the team and across platforms 
  • Leads and manages cross-functional QBR’s to further continual alignment and align on platform strategy and supports platform advisory council meetings to ensure current and future platform strategy is shared and business feedback is incorporated 
  • Owns customer success to delivery of features and functionality into overall value delivered 
  • Owns and communicates BizTech Apps success stories across the organization  
  • Develops a plan and manages a 360 feedback loop to ensure implemented functionality is used, stays relevant and meets business needs 
  • Coordinates with Enterprise Architecture to ensure business strategic needs are incorporated into long term plans 
  • Develops integral stakeholder and business function relationships based on a deep knowledge of business domain expertise
