Director, Facilities Operations EMEA

Summary:

Guidewire is looking for a Director, Facilities Operations EMEA to join our Facilities team to develop long term workplace plans and build the facility operations team. This incumbent works under the general direction of the Sr. Director, Global Procurement & Real Estate and will manage Real Estate and Facility Operations for our offices across EMEA and will be based out of our Dublin office.

 


Responsibilities include:

  • Consult with key stakeholders, executing best practices on workplace strategy and design while creating a workspace that supports our Company values
  • Work with Sr Director Global Procurement & Real Estate, and VP EMEA Operations to create a multi-year rolling Facilities strategy, to ensure that our facilities across the region meet and exceed the expectations of the EMEA business stakeholders, and that new facilities requirements are pre-emptively provided
  • Participate as an active member of our EMEA Operations board and partner to our broader EMEA Leadership Team
  • Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Monitor trends in facilities best practices across the region, and work with key business partners to trial and adopt the same where relevant
  • Support real estate evaluations and decisions across the region
  • Utilize data to develop trends and insights that will drive continuous improvement in site performance
  • Successful delivery of change in workplace programs
  • Work with strategic sourcing professionals to identify cost savings opportunities and support their contracting efforts
  • Plan for office work team that can scale to company growth; hire, coach and mentor staff

 

Key Competencies:

  • Expertise in Real Estate, Facilities management, construction, workplace design & environment
  • Previous experience in facilities and/or property management for EMEA region
  • Able to manage and negotiate with multiple vendors to deliver services on time & within budget
  • Strong development of workplace programs
  • Strategic thinker with strong implementation orientation
  • Ability to create and manage offices budgets
  • Self-motivated; confident and energetic
  • Strong communicator and active listener – possess strong presentation skills, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Innovative and flexible – able to adapt to rapidly changing situations and drive change
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and always demonstrates leadership/professionalism
  • Excellent prioritization and conflict resolution
  • Undergraduate or master’s degree in business administration, construction or related field is preferred
  • Must be able to travel as needed to EMEA offices- estimate 40% of time
