 Our global UX team is looking for a Lead UX Architect to help us increase desirability, usability and customer value across Guidewire’s global enterprise applications.

The successful candidate will have a portfolio which demonstrates the ability to drive processes which look across a wide range of business processes, products, and user needs, and the ability to build design models to drive consistency, desirability, and usefulness.

We are looking for a flexible individual with enterprise application design and development experience, who is able to derive interaction patterns across our business applications, design and visualize interfaces for digital products which span the globe. You will work closely with product management, user experience designers, and design researchers on the design system that will provide guidelines for a compelling user experiences and accelerate the design and development process.

This position collaborates with technical architects, product management, engineering, and visual and interaction designers to determine both the system and component design requirements and guidelines.

This role engages with the Elixir engineering team to create working components that are scalable, aesthetic, functional, and accessible. The candidate serves as an evangelist for the design system, providing education, thought leadership for design processes, and an expert reviewer for members of the Guidewire UX organization.


As a UX Architect, you will:

  • 8 -10 years of experience with enterprise user experience design and application development.
  • Proven ability to facilitate conversations with a diverse group of stakeholders, and provide a productive, enjoyable, collaborative experience.
  • Manage a team of UX Designers, Copy Writers, Visual Designers .
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to "bring people together" across projects.
  • Ability to be a design-minded change agent in a medium - large, complex organization.
  • A passion for what others might call ‘blue sky’ solutions that can be brought to realization.
  • Mastery of information architecture,
  • Familiarity with lean and agile approaches to creating software, and a desire to learn and improve.
  • Experience with creating or working on UI pattern libraries, style guides, or design systems.
  • Basic understating of state-of-the-art UI technologies such as React, Angular or Vue.js
  • Have a thorough knowledge of competitive and cutting-edge application UIs on the web today,
  • Ensure Design system is current with innovative next-generation UI.
  • Willing to travel ~20%
