International Benefits Manager

 

We are currently seeking an International Benefits Manager to join our Corporate Compensation & Benefits Team at Guidewire Software. This role will report to the Head of Global Total Rewards. On a global level, implements and administers international benefits plans, programs, policies and processes for 15+ countries. Looking for an energetic and detail-oriented manager to join our fast-paced and growing team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages and administers all benefits programs in EMEA, Latin America and APAC including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance
  • Finds creative ways to streamline and automate processes to optimize efficiency
  • Educates the global employee population on their benefits offerings and how to best utilize them
  • Coordinates with brokers/vendors on the negotiation of renewals, RFPs, etc.
  • Initiates proposals for scalability and manages improvements in design, administration and cost efficiency
  • Collaborates with internal partners relative to operations, communication, budgeting/forecasting, preparing business cases, and ongoing program management
  • Strong team player and able to coach and advise team members
  • Coordinates and manages health fairs, flu shots and benefits activities in local Guidewire offices
  • Evaluates benefits policies and programs and makes recommendations to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements
  • Writes company benefit policies and develops a global benefits communication strategy
  • Harmonizes global benefits
  • Stays apprised of market trends and best practices
  • Engages with Mercer and other benefit vendors on best practices
  • Partners with third party administrators to resolve claim issues and employee inquiries as needed
  • Determines employee benefit interests by conducting employee surveys and analyzing results
  • Assists with Radford Benefits Survey

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of benefits administration experience in a global software or tech company
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in global benefits (EMEA, LATAM, APAC) and has benefits expertise in 5 or more countries
  • Experience with benefit design and harmonization
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and shift as needed
  • Prior project management experience
  • Skilled with HRIS systems; Workday experience preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated
