Lead Engineering Manager – Krakow, Poland

We are looking for hands-on engineering leaders to achieve this journey!

You will have the opportunity to make an impact and contribute to a complex application suite of products that generate over 500 million dollars of revenue annually, mission-critical to 100+ enterprises serving more than a million users.

As a Lead Engineering Managers at Guidewire you will be hands-on, empower, and support self-sufficient teams.

As a key member of the team, you should:

• Value running software
• Attract, retain, develop, and motivate top-notch engineering talent
• Empower multiple engineering teams, and offer guidance and coaching as needed
• Ensure effective collaboration and communication within the team and with peers and stakeholders across the organization

• Work in an agile development environment (e.g. BDD, TDD, DDD, pair programming, etc.)
• Be passionate by testing, ops, and security as code
• Have a curiosity and internal motivation to constantly improve
• Trust your team, and be trusted by your manager and colleagues to make good decisions

What skills or experience do I need to have?

• AWS – IaaS and PaaS
• Java, JavaScript, React
• Advocate of DDD, BDD, and TDD
• API first development
• Cloud Services and architectures (e.g. cloud foundry, kubernetes, containers, serverless)
• Mentoring others on technical topics and processes
• Leading projects from inception to completion with collaboration across teams
• Risk mitigation and handling dependencies
• Maintaining and promoting a healthy codebase and ensuring high quality of the product
• Around 10 years of experience or more, with 3 years leading a development team
