Software Architect – Krakow, Poland

We are looking for hands-on architects to achieve this journey!

You will have the opportunity to make an impact and contribute to a complex application suite of products that generate over 500 million dollars of revenue annually, mission-critical to 100+ enterprises serving more than a million users.

Software architects at Guidewire are hands-on and collaborate with self-sufficient teams.

They:

  • Value running software
  • Lead by providing just enough architecture guidance
  • Work collaboratively in an empowered, small, cross-functional team
  • Work in an agile development environment (e.g. BDD, TDD, DDD, pair programming, etc.)
  • Are passionate by testing, ops, and security as code
  • Have a curiosity and internal motivation to constantly improve
  • Are excellent communicators, being comfortable to speak their mind and defend ideas based on merit, yet humility and hunger to learn from others

 

Key qualifications include experience with:

  • AWS – IaaS and PaaS
  • Java, JavaScript, React
  • Domain Driven Design (DDD)
  • Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • TDD
  • API first development
  • Cloud Services and architectures (e.g. cloud foundry, kubernetes, containers, serverless)
  • Mentoring others on technical topics and processes
  • Leading projects from inception to completion with collaboration across teams
  • Disposition to experiment with new technologies and process outside of the domain
  • Risk mitigation and handling dependencies
  • Maintaining and promoting a healthy codebase and ensuring high quality of the product
  • Around 10 years of experience or more
