Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Manager of G&A. This is an individual contributor role supporting our G&A departments, which includes facilities, finance, security, legal, ESG departments.   This person is responsible for leading the monthly forecast, quarterly rolling forecast, monthly close, headcount planning, and annual planning process for these departments.   The role will also have exposure to AWS cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Support Finance Manager in budget and forecasting process
  • Consult with business partners to evaluate the costs and benefits associated with various financial decisions
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely management reporting including monthly financials and functional expense reporting.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and business modeling. Use results to provide strategic input and meaningful information to management
  • Own the monthly close process and ensure accuracy of the general ledger through detailed monthly analytical reviews of the expense
  • Ad-hoc analysis & projects as needed to support business needs

Experience Required

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field!
  • Experience in Software and SaaS companies preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience with track record of increasing responsibilities
  • Has experience in supporting various expense departments
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Highly organized and motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects and the ability to manage projects to completion
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Proven ability to meet deadline, follow-through on details, provide input and feedback to the team
  • Great teammate with strong interpersonal skills and collaborative team work crosses functional areas.
  • Advanced skills in Excel or gsheet, PowerPoint or Google slides, and other analysis tools used for modeling, report creation, and trend forecasting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way
  • Prior Adaptive Planning experience preferred, but not required
